Since kernel 5.7 (if I remember correctly) the main issue is gone (i.e no more
flickers while *using* the computer), but from time to time, after waking from
sleep, the login (GDM in my case) screen still has messed up colours.

At least from my point of view, this issue is (almost) solved. Should I close
it?
