Thanks a lot for the answer.
OK, I expected it to be /dev/dasdX1 but just wanted to make sure that not
accidentally the base blockdevice has been used, which is always a problem with
DASD devices.

But I noticed another thing in your report. You mentioned that the devices are
thinly provisioned. Did you ever try something similar with fully allocated
devices? Or is it possible to test your workflow with fully allocated devices?
