Comment # 13 on bug 1207355 from P Gillespie

This bug is still very much alive and makes any 6.x kernel unusable on various
models of the MS Surface, including mine (on which I'm writing this). It's no
longer possible to install TW on my model of the Surface. I haven't checked
recently, but Kernel maintainers have been aware of the bug for years and have
done nothing to solve it (there are many other reports). They've decided to
ignore it. As you say, it's an upstream problem. Since I've locked my kernel
version at 5.13.x, I haven't had any problems.
