For completeness: kernel-default-6.9.9 from the official Slowroll update repo also suspends and resumes fine: https://download.opensuse.org/update/slowroll/repo/oss/x86_64/kernel-default-6.9.9-1.1.x86_64.rpm e1000e module loaded and visible in 'sudo journalctl -b', but just normal messages, no errors. So we established that kernel-default-6.9.9 does not have this problem, but kernel-default-6.10.3 or later have it. This is as far as I can narrow this down right now.
