It means that the culprit was the patch patches.kernel.org/5.17.2-0130-Revert-ACPI-Pass-the-same-capabilities-to-the.patch and it's the upstream commit 2ca8e6285250c07a2e5a22ecbfd59b5a4ef73484. Interestingly, this itself is a revert of the former ACPI fix in 5.13-rc6. (So we reverted the revert.) Daniel, did a similar problem appear in the early kernels like 5.12? You can test a kernel from my OBS home:tiwai:kernel:5.12 repo, for example.
