Right, that's a matter of configuration.  The kernel itself has a built-in
bitmap font of the size in 16x32, but it'll be chosen for 4k monitor, not for
the lower resolutions.  And, this will be overridden by systemd in anyway as
mentioned in /etc/vconsole.conf.

So, pick up the font as you like there, that's the solution.
