Although there are two more fixes over it, Stefan's problem still persists.

And now I noticed that there is a new fix in Linus tree for 6.12-rc1, commit

  e1000e: avoid failing the system during pm_suspend

This sounds like the fix.  I'm now building another test kernel with this patch
in OBS home:tiwai:bsc1230629-patched repo.  Please give it a try later.
