Good to hear.  Now the fix (the enablement of 1w) is pushed to be merged to
SLE15-SP3 branch.  It'll miss the upcoming update, but hopefully included in
the next one.

There is no such conspiracy.  The w1 modules have been dropped on x86 just for
syncing with SLE15-SP3 config, and it's simply because we've never had the
actual usage until your report :)
