It'll be a day or so before I rotate back to the Leap 15.5 system. By the "latest kernel" I'm assuming you mean from the same site as before, which was for "xxxxx.80.rpm" so you would want something newer than that, like "xxxx.81"??? Or, this is a completely other site for stable kernels??? Lastly, I can report that in running a Gecko Plasma zypper upgrade yesterday, that it seemed like zypper worked it's way past the problem and I could suspend and revive the system . . . wasn't super-zippy, but it did return to full function of the GUI. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

One more test you can try quickly: kernel-vanilla package in OBS home:tiwai:kernel:drm-tip contains the build from the very latest drm-tip tree, containing the changes for the next kernel. So, in that sense the newer kernel is "worse" than the older one, where I could at least mouse around, but clicking on stuff failed to respond--here I couldn't mouse. Namely, try the following: - Prepare sample WAV files in different formats (16, 24 and 32 bit) and different sample rates (44100 and 48000Hz). You can try with sox to convert WAV files, for example. - For PW, stop the pipewire temporarily via % systemctl --user stop wireplumber and run aplay directly for the test WAV file such as % aplay -Dhw:0,0, -vv foo.wav where hw:0,0 corresponds to the card#0, device#0. Just a guess: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/d63f11c02b8d3e54bdb65d8c309f73b7f4… solves a regression in kernel 6.1.x, where suspend is broken for S3 ("Linux mode"), while s2idle ("Windows mode") works fine.
