That works here, 11.1 with KDE:42 packages. Do you get any ouput when starting it via konsole? Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

when I start with path i have this? KCrash: Application 'kwrite' crashing... sock_file=/home/gjn/.kde4/socket-techz/kdeinit4__0 KCrash cannot reach kdeinit, launching directly. KCrash failed to exec(), errno = 2 -- mit freundlichen Grüßen / best Regards, Günther J. In Yast, if you open the software management and pick "installation repos" in the drop-down at the top-left, you can check whether there are packages marked as red or blue in the 42 repo. If so you should update both of them. Another idea would be to start kwrite as another user. If that works your user has some corrupted config files. And check you Qt version with rpm -qa | grep libqt4. If it is 4.5.x you have a Qt repo you should not use for KDE 4.2. In that case you need to downgrade to the Qt version that is in the official update repos. because you ran zypper dup without carefully checking the output? :) try "zypper in libqt4.x86_64" to fix. Greetings, Dirk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
