[opensuse-kde] Impossible to kill the screen locker
Hi, I have a problem with the screen locker in 12.3. In a KDE session, if the screen is locked, in 12.2 as root I can unlock the screen killing the process kscreenlocker. In 12.3 this doesn't work anymore. If I kill plasma-overlay or kscreenlocker_greet (depending of the type of screen locker active) the process is restarted immediately by its parent process. Is there a way (as root) to remove the locker from a kde session in 12.3? No, short of killing your session by removing ksmserver. This change was made by design, to increase the security of the screen locker. -- Luca Beltrame - KDE Forums team KDE Science supporter GPG key ID: 6E1A4E79

Hi- If I understand correctly. Here is my ~/.kde4/share/config/kscreensaverrc: [ScreenSaver] ActionBottomLeft=0 ActionBottomRight=0 ActionTopLeft=0 ActionTopRight=0 Enabled=true LegacySaverEnabled=true Lock=false LockGrace=300000 PlasmaEnabled=false Saver=krandom.desktop Timeout=600 It may be "belt and suspenders" but it keeps the screen from locking.
