A blank disk can not be mounted. Check that your device is corrected found and placed either as an IDE (/dev/hda,hdb.hdc) or under SCSI (/dev/sr0,sr1) emulation.
Inspect your dmesg messages so you know what is where.

Its not blank something burned on it when I check that side in the light. however when I reload and try to mount and check the data nothing.
