[opensuse-kde] KDE 4.6.1 in KDE:/Distro:/Factory for openSUSE 11.4?
just wondering why 4.6.1 doesn't show up in the K:D:F repos for oS 11.4, while it's already in those for 11.3 and oS factory, per example? is there any specific reason, or just timing of the update process and/or mirror refresh? -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

The openSUSE 11.3 repo seems to have a higher build priority than the 11.4 one, which means it is built first. The build keeps restarting, and since 11.3 is built first it has enough time to finish and published its packages before the restart happens, but 11.4 doesn't. This means the 11.3 packages are built and appear while the 11.4 ones are not. Until the 11.4 build has a change to go to completion the packages won't appear. -Todd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

there seems to be some trouble building the repos, according to this URL, which i got from the openSUSE forums: https://build.opensuse.org/project/monitor?blocked=0&building=0&dispatching=0&finished=0&project=KDE%3ARelease%3A46&scheduled=0&signing=0&succeeded=0 looks sort of frightening, but i'm hopeful & confident things will get sorted out... -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

The priorities are set by download statistics, once 11.4 repos are more popular this will change automatically. Greetings, Stephan -- Sent from openSUSE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Stephan, if the repo is never finish one time, I can't understand how it can become popular. The other annoyance, will be people having 11.3 + kde4.6.1 making an upgrade to 11.4 will get 4.6.0 which I don't think it's the better upgrade path ;-) -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member & Ambassador GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

It finished this morning. I have been running 11.4+4.6.1 all day. -Todd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Of course it will finish. To quote from /topic #opensuse-buildservice: "Patience is a virtue." Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
