[opensuse-kde] KDE 4.7.3 for openSUSE 12.1 ?
is there an estimate when 4.7.3 will be available for oS 12.1 ? i used K:D:F for openSUSE factory for my 12.1 install, which works at the moment, but i'm expecting trouble with the next major update to either oS 12.1 or K:D:F repos -- openSUSE factory is moving away from 12.1, after all. -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

i see that http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/47/openSUSE_12.1/ is beginning to fill up. so far there's 8 aqbanking packages visible. more to follow soon i'm sure... -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

today i see that K:D:F for openSUSE 12.1 finally switched to KDE 4.7.3 ( http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Distro:/Factory/openSUSE_12.1... ). switching my packages now, after having used K:D:F for openSUSE factory on my 12.1 install until now, strangely without any problems. -- phani -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

What exactly is the difference between KDE:Distro:Factory and KDE:Release:47, and which one is one supposed to use for a 12.1 on the long run? I mean, isn't K:D:F going to be a KDE 4.8 at some point when development on the next opensuse starts? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

KDE:Distro:Stable is serving KDE 4.7.2 for all supported openSUSE versions. KDE:Distro:Factory serves latest released KDE which is 4.7.3. normally K:D:F contains packages that are less tested than those from the KDE:Release repos, and eventually K:D:F will switch to the new version under development, at which time K:D:F tends to get really unstable. for now, KDE:Release:47 for openSUSE 12.1 conatains only a couple of aqbanking-related packages though, so K:D:F is the only way to get KDE 4.7.3 for oS 12.1. -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
