Flash covering articles in Kong
every once in a while the NY Times has flash ads that cover the 1st part of an article in Kong...How can I stop it?? Doesn't happen in Firefox so must be Kong. -- Gracia...Cooleemee, NC Registered Linux user #263390 - SuSE 10.1 Pro http://www.daviecountydemocrats.org/ When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross- Sinclair Lewis

Hi Gracia, I doubt there is actually a problem with Konqueror. It is more likely you need to adjust your Konqueror default fonts (typeface and size.) When you do that, of course, it affects every page you view in Konqueror, meaning if the only placee you're having problems with is the NYT site, try View->Enlarge Font or View -> Shrink Font and see if that fixes the alignment. Just be sure to set it back to default when you surf elsewhere. There are other factors at play to consider: your display resolution (physical H x V pixels) and your DPI setting (aspect ratio.) You can see the NYT site looks fine in Konqueror using my default settings: http://www.cehartung.com/docs/konq-nyt-1.jpg hth & regards, Carl

FF does a better job of blocking that junk, by default. From what I understand, the Next release of KDE will have a LOT more support in Konq. to block that and other trash. Fred -- MickySoft, the ultimate corporate parasite.

Do you mean the next 3.5.* release or the 4 release? And what do *you* mean by "a LOT more support in Konq. to block that and other trash"? Just being curious ;) Cheers, Leen
