Hi there, I have backed up the home folder of my pc to some tar.gz files. The files are 3.6GB altogether. I burned them on a DVD using K3b. K3b debug logs don't show nothing wrong but the actual size of the files when I browse to the DVD is only 38MB! Could anybody please help me to figure out what's going on? My k3b is 0.11.12 using KDE 3.2.1 on SuSE 9.1 Pro. regards Hamid

I beleive k3b builds the iso first? Do you have large file support enabled? I worry because I am looking to buy a burner and have a dd of a 6gig winblows partition for emergency ghosting. I dont want that to shrink to the size of a floppy. -- +-----------------<<<<<<<CWSIV>>>>>>>----------------+ | | | | \ /|\ || |\ / |~~\ /~~\ /~~| //~~\ | | | \ / | \ || | X |__/| || |( `--. | | |__ | | \| \_/ / \ | \ \__/ \__| \\__/ | | | +~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~+
