The package to get FLAC playback working in Amarok on plasma5 is gstreamer-plugins-good in case anyone was wondering. There are a few dependencies which go along with it.
That's of course totally unrelated to Plasma5, and depends on the phonon backend. (with the VLC backend, FLAC playback should work in any case) On a standard KDE4 installation gstreamer-plugins-good should be installed by default. So this probably is caused by how you installed now. (minimal system and then adding Plasma5 maybe?) AFAICT it is normally pulled in by patterns-openSUSE-kde4_multimedia in a KDE4 installation.
Another thing is, with FF, when you right click on a downloaded file in "Library", Gwenview opens up and takes you to the downloads folder. Is there a library that's missing that provides Dolphin integration with FF?
There is no "Dolphin integration with FF". Firefox opens the folder with the configured default application for folders (I think it just calls xdg-open). So make sure dolphin is set as default applications for folders in Systemsettings5->Applications->Standard Applications, and/or the preferred app for the filetype inode/directory in Systemsettings5->Applications->File Associations.
