[opensuse-kde] KDE:KDE4:Community accidental libqt4 upgrade
This is important. Newer libqt4 and associated packages were linked into KDE:KDE4:Community, causing a libqt4 upgrade to build and publish into all of that projects' repositories, including those that should keep the distro-provided versions of libqt4. This is a Bad Thing because KDE:KDE4:Community should only provide *applications*, not update the platform or the libraries. In addition, it should not contain apps that are already on the distribution; these are updated via KDE:Backports. For users: I have deleted the links so when the project has built and published, libqt4 will revert to the original versions. If you update using this project's repos *right now* you will get Qt 4.6.2 which may not be what you want. If so, please hold off updating for a few hours until things settle down. You do not want to see this in the zypper installation summary: The following packages are going to change vendor: libqt4 obs://build.opensuse.org/KDE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/KDE:KDE4:Community For packagers: If you maintain packages in KDE:KDE4:Community, please be aware of the consequences of your actions. We don't have a way to enforce the policies, which are * no platform (kde*4 modules, libqt4, kdesupport software) updates * no applications that are on the distribution * no beta or svn stuff - this goes in KDE:KDE4:Playground If you are not sure, ask or use osc submitrequest to KDE:KDE4:Community, someone with more experience can review your changes.
