Recently I heard that Fedora wants to get rid of ConsoleKit. This would mean that KDE (and XFCE, and LXDE) supports systemd-logind. Is it the case? Or is Fedora just patching KDE? Is opensuse also removing ConsoleKit for 12.2?
I am not aware of any suggestion to drop CK for 12.2 yet. You should ask this question on the opensuse-factory@ list to see what Frederic Crozat plasn for systemd-logind. I expect we will add support to KDE for it or integrate fedora's patches when they change.

I guess I'll wait. Anything related to systemd can potentialy start a flame war. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Hi Jose, What I know is that this switch can only happen once the fallback option from systemd to sysvinit has been dropped as that certain critical packages can only support either systemd-logind or ConsoleKit. This will not happen with 12.2, but maybe with the next one.
