[opensuse-kde] declarativescript engine driver
ok, what the *beep* is a "declarativescript engine" and why is it suddenly missing from my system after updating some packages? Now I don't have system notifications anymore... Running 12.2 + KDE from K:R:410. cheers, MH -- gpg key fingerprint: 5F64 4C92 9B77 DE37 D184 C5F9 B013 44E7 27BD 763C () ascii ribbon campaign against HTML e-mail /\ www.asciiribbon.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Sounds like QML...
and why is it suddenly missing from my system after updating some packages? Now I don't have system notifications anymore...
Mistake in the splitting of packages?

A temporary work-around: open a konsole run "kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental" run "kquitapp plasma-desktop" wait a few seconds run "plasma-desktop"

Thanks!. This works for openSUSE 12.3 as well. After I updated from KDE:Release:410 this morning I had this problem as well. Thought I was missing a package similar to the missing python script engine error, but couldn't figure out what package. Googling didn't help either (well, maybe kdelibs-runtime but I have that ;) ). The problem was spotted by shumski and fixed: a new kde-runtime package was built and is now on the publishing queue. Once the OBS will publish the new packages, an update will fix all the problems. -- Luca Beltrame - KDE Forums team KDE Science supporter GPG key ID: 6E1A4E79

Try another "zypper up", i've just done one and it downloads an updated kdebase and all is working well now -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
