[opensuse-kde] openSUSE 12.2 packages - possibly mistaken builds
I was comparing the building of KDF and KR49 packages, and noticed some packages that are possibly being built for openSUSE 12.2 by mistake. These packages are disabled for openSUSE 12.1 and Factory, but are enabled for 12.2. These are likely mistakes. If these are mistakes, it is probably good to disable building these packages by default. cmake freetds frei0r-plugins gavl gfxboot kdebase4-openSUSE_11.3 - should probably be deleted (I already submitted a request) kdebase4-openSUSE_11.4 lcms2 libraw These are disabled for factory, but enabled for 12.1 and 12.2. 12.2 should be pretty close to factory, so these may or may not be mistakes. CharLS OpenGTL make gamin getdata gwenhywfar libmlt libqt4 libucil libunicap llvm mobile-broadband-provider-info obs-service-format_spec_file podofo polkit-default-privs python-distribute python-pyudev rpmlint rpmlint-mini vtk These are enabled for factory, but disabled for 12.2: attica kupdateapplet -Todd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

For some reason when people wants something for "old distro X" what they do is to enable it for everything and then disable it for the rest of the distros the project is building for at that moment. When the project starts building for a new distro this breaks. The logic is broken. When you want something just for "old distro X" disable it for everything and explicitly enable it for "old distro X". Also with these "compatibility packages" adding a comment in the description explaining why it's there doesn't hurt. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

+1, was about to write exactly this. I am now reviewing the list of packages and setting things up this way in KDF where it is missing, thanks Todd for the feedback.
