fehlende User-Liste beim grafischen login / missing User-List in graphical login-screen
Hallo ! Unter Suse 9.1 Personal hatte ich beim grafischen Einloggschirm eine Liste der Usernamen. Unter Suse 9.3 Professionell ist diese liste verschwunden, dort habe ich nur zwei Eingabefelder für Namen und Passwort. Wie bekomme ich die Liste wieder? Gruß Olaf Hi! Edit the file /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc and change the line UseTheme=true to UseTheme=false and restart kdm (or reboot) After that you should see the user list. If you don't, you can go to KDE's control center, System Administration->Login manager->Users and check "show list"
Hi ! Ok, I realized the list with the Usernames in login-screen with "UseTheme=true" in /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc. But the loginscreen often starts before NIS is ready. Then the list only shows the local users. But in this case I can login as a server-user (per NIS), too. That´s why I think NIS is not full loaded in the moment kdm starts. How I can set the loginscreen (kdm?) after NIS is ready ? bye Olaf
