In one of my systems I have a "mystery". I need a few tips to solve it, because I am a bit puzzled. In the system (a gygabyte 970A chipset with integrated NIC I have this NIC and a secondary PCI-E NIC. Now I attributed fixed IP addresses and for each card a different default address under network manager. eth0 is the integrated NIC in the 192 range and the PCI-E is a internal network within the 178 range. All is good, both work, where the PCI- E is only internal without internet access. Now, when I call for a browser, the internet works problem free. Also updating with zypper or yast no hassle. But when it comes to package kit it shows persistently: Network is offline. I do not really understand this, unless(!) , package kit does erroneously take eth0 for the PCI-E card that should be eth1. Where can I look up what package kit considers as default card for calls on the internet? As everything else works, that must be something that has to do with a separate configuration file. Can somebody help me to solve the mystery? Thanks in advance. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
