BTW, I had today problem with number of dependency issues. Not the same as yours, but still something that 4.2 beta should not have.
Usually I use 'zypper up' and I could not see any problem, but today I used YaST Software Management > Filter:Packages:All packages and "Update all in this list if newer version is available" and dependency issue happened. The 'zypper up' reports no update available.
That means something is foul as both tools should show the same result. The request appear to me as the same.
Right now I still use YaST with Filter:Packages:KDE4... and allow to downgrade some packages with assumption that is just version numbering issue. They all are kde4 so it should not create problem in the rest of the system.
May be the problem is, that the KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop build service project already contains KDE 4.2 final packages, which will be not delivered to the mirrors until the real release happens. Other repositories (KDE:KDE4:Community for example) have already been built on top of KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop, so they depend on the final version and are already delivered to the mirrors. So there may be some dependency issues. With the release of KDE 4.2 on tuesday everything should be fine.
