And if the theme does not specify a wallpaper, how can I control it separately? Where can I tune it? I use different wallpapers on different occasions (activities). So a single wallpaper per theme is not what I want. And I certainly want my login and locking screens to use a different background compared to the "normal" modes.
What I do if I want a different wallpaper for screen locking, is change the metadata-desktop file of the theme. The default in Air (under /usr/share/kde4/apps/desktoptheme/default/) is [...] [Wallpaper] defaultWallpaperTheme=Elarun defaultFileSuffix=.png defaultWidth=2560 defaultHeight=1600 Here the name of a different wallpaper can be entered and you copy it to desktoptheme dir in home if you do not want to make the change systemwide.
