If by doing so Calligra 2.5 will eventually end up there automatically, OK. If not, Calligra 2.5 may be an option to update (it's currently RC just like SC 4.9).
Besides KDE SC and any dependencies, I think the proper place for unstable packages is KDE:Unstable:Playground.
You were usually right but Calligra 2.5 should be released around the same time as the final SC 4.9, so it might make sense to prepare for that release as well. But as I said: If updating Calligra in Factory means that KR49 will also be updated, my comment is invalid.
It seems that Calligra 2.4.3 doesn't build with KDE 4.9 anyway, see: https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log?arch=i586&package=call... So using 2.5 RC ist probably the best way to go ... I'd rather prepare the new Calligra now in KR49 (as is done with KDE 4.9), then push it to KDF once openSUSE 12.2 is out and KDF available for additions again. Afterwards it is as you said - KR49 will link to KDF as long as KDE 4.9 is in there and thus gets all the updates as well.
