I suspect not even one of the newer updates or the ATI-Driver. We have a few systems here with Intel915 Chips and the problem seems to be occurring with one specific screen saver. (Motor). I myself use random screen savers without problems except it starts motor. Could be a problem with OpenGL maybe but i cannot say this for sure. A Colleague switched from Motor where his system froze regularly to a 2D screensaver and he has no problems anymore.

You can revert those updates and check which one is responsible.

Well, I then had the same problem with OpenOffice (a showstopper), tried loading the debugging kernel and then the system refused to boot completely (got into a twitch/boot loop). Since I could not find the 10.3 DVD and I *really* need this beast to work (and the backups were not as recent as they could have been - a hardware problem) I reverted to 10.1. 10.2 does not even install on my Via C3 hardware. 10.1 appears to be rock solid. All the other 10.3 problems I had are gone. It'll take end-of-life for 10.1 to get me to move again and it won't be to 10.3. Someone seems to be compiling 10.3 update packages with instructions my poor little Via does not know.
