I assume that the "location string gadget" is the place under the menu bar where you enter a location, right?
Thats what I meant, correct.
try going online, then type www.google.com in the location string gadget (field), and press enter when google is loaded check the tools menu again, "Change Browser Identification" should be there now.
It isn't. I don't know what else you might do for this one,
When you look under the window menu does it give you an opportunity to ""Save View Profile "Web Browser"" ? If not perhaps the wrong View Profile is being loaded or perhaps your Web Browser View Profile was changed somehow. ---------------snip-------------------
The problem here is that "Change Browser Identification" isn't in the lefthand list at all.
This sounds like the menu itself, read on.
I mentioned the other two items (Bookmarks,Configure Key Bindings) to verify that we were both talking about the same list.
I'm not sure. What your talking about sounds like the Settings menu. not the window that opens if you select "Configure Toolbars..." When I select the settings menu there are 10 Items listed (2 of them ghosted) Show Menubar Show Toolbar Show Extra Toolbar Show Location Toolbar Show BookmarkToolbar View Properties...(ghosted) Remove Properties...(ghosted) Configure Key Bindings... Configure Toolbars... Configure Konqueror If I select "Configure Toolbars..." A new window opens allowing me to make the changes I talked about in my last mail.
What does "Help/About KDE" give you? In my case it's Konqueror 2.2.2 (Using KDE 2.2.2) Same here, kde 2.2.2, konqueror 2.2.2
Let me know if any of this works, or if we're not talking about the same thing -- dh I've been awake: 27 hours minutes Suse Linux 7.2 professional kernel 2.4.17, xFree86 4.2.0, kde 2.2.2
