I haven't actually done it yet, but I think I now know the answer of how to [install "Change User Agent" in KDE 2.2.2, thanks to Pam and Liz's posts.
You need to install
the kdeaddons package (the KDE 2.2.2 version should suffice) and then go to Netscape Plugins, where a scan should install the uachanger plugin.
For anyone else dealing with the same problem, there's one more step. Under Netscape Plugins you need to add the directory /opt/kde2/lib/kde2 where the plugin module libuachangerplugin.so hangs out.
Having done that, I now have the nicely expanded Tools menu that dh was referring to, including "Change User Agent" and several other new items besides.

So if I'm understanding, these are picked up by default by Konq, right? No need to set this path in Konq? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE83Dg3nQ18+PFcZJsRAj/EAJwOuCPxhnHIFFkLs9t/DBPeYjnevgCfSZLb /xwIHSvZsA0pni7fXZwQy0I= =PIMj -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
