This is funny! I am using 3.5 release candidate ? (maybe 1?) and the same thing happens. I just tried it. When I press Ctrl, I get two boxes (like tool tips). One has an E and the other a K. These only appear when a window is selected, for example, they do not appear while I was composing this email. Looks like someone left some debug functionality in KDE?
