Hello List mates, While using Qtcurve in openSUSE 12.3 RC1 such as importing two or three qtcurve presets and/or switching to a different color scheme. [opensuse-kde] kdm, multiple monitors and Xsetup

Hi there guys, I'm running openSUSE 12.2 x64 with KDE 4.10 from the KR410 repos and I have an Nvidia 9800GTX+ GPU with the 310.19-180.1 drivers installed using DKMS from the Bumblebee repository. I'm trying to setup the resolution, the position and the primary display for kdm. After a bit of searching in the KDE forums I found out that I had to put some xrandr commands in /etc/kde4/kdm/XSetup. So I created the file, changed the permissions to 755 and I put in the file the following commands: #!/bin/bash /usr/bin/xrandr --output DVI-I-1 --mode 1920x1080 --refresh 59.8833 /usr/bin/xrandr --output DVI-I-1 --pos 0x0 /usr/bin/xrandr --output DVI-I-2 --mode 1680x1050 --refresh 59.8833 /usr/bin/xrandr --output DVI-I-2 --right-of DVI-I-1 /usr/bin/xrandr --output DVI-I-2 --primary Here's my problem though. If I manually execute the commands above the displays are setup correctly and as I want the to be. But when I restart my computer, the Xsetup file I've setup doesn't get executed at all. It's like it's being ignored for some unknown reason or something. [opensuse-kde] kde-4.10 wallpaper loaded too late/slow

Hi guys, since kde-4-10 the desktop starts with a classic bluish background 2-3 sec later the wallpaper appear. Small cosmetic issue but lots of work for getting smooth transition from grub to the desktop and now this... is may pc really too slow ? For sure is a bit old (athlon from 2005) but for loading a wallpaper should be more then enough (not a heavy image). Something has changed in this area ? [opensuse-kde] Nepomuk/virtuoso CPU use in 12.3rc1

I read on IRC that excessive CPU use by virtuoso is down to QTBUG-18934 [1] and its downstream manifestation kde#302143 [2]. I'm seeing a lot of virtuoso CPU still in RC1 (and previously) so am trying to confirm that this bug is the reason. However I'm not seeing this in console output: [/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub] QProcessPrivate::createPipe: Cannot create pipe 0x1987228: Too many open files [/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub] QSocketNotifier: Invalid socket specified nor am I seeing zombie nepomukindexer processes. I ran the new nepomuk cleaner tool already. So I assume my virtuoso cpu usage is something different. Do we have any more information in the team about these bugs than is in the upstream reports? Otherwise I'll work on the assumption that it's something else and start getting debug information out of virtuoso to see what query it's stuck on. [opensuse-kde] KR410 and Unsigned File

Visited the KDE repositories wiki page I found KDE 4.9 for openSUSE 12.2 is missing. The link is broken too. Instead I found the option to upgrade to 4.10 Added the proper KR410 url listed to my system software repositories. Refreshing all repos shows "Unsigned File...is not digitally signed" http://paste.opensuse.org/59136672 A few minutes ago I tried to upgrade openSUSE 12.2 KDE 4.9.5 release 4 to KDE 4.10.00 by performing zypper dup --from KR410 and still receiving the "Unsigned File..." What's wrong? Hi all. Will Stephenson or others, does anyone know the status of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=276856 or https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294074 I've added some hopefully useful comments to the first one last night. I'm kinda hoping that this one (I think 294074 is likely a duplicate of the first) will get some attention before 4.10 is released. Maybe a vain hope, but it is kinda annoying that it's still hanging around. It was first reported in June 2011 (not by me) and is still in 4.9.5 "release 3".
