[opensuse-kde] Removing Dolphin launcher?

Hi Fellow KDErs, I've been trying to remove the Dolphin and Firefox launchers from the bottom toolbar without sucess. Every time after booting I remove them and the next restart/boot they are back again. Is there some way to remove them permanently? Thanks, Tom -- “What we do for ourselves dies with us. [opensuse-kde] kmail and filter, still broken..

HI, I just installed 12.2 then upgraded to kde-4.9.1, so far so good but kmail filtering is still broken :( Selecting all msg (ctrlL+a) then apply filters (ctrl+j) works only on opened msg... Hi There, Will started a general philosophical discussion on the 12.3 deadline... [opensuse-kde] Changes to the KDE Repositories

The last few weeks there was a discussion on the mailinglist with regards to the existance of KDE:Distro:Stable and it's function. During the last KDE team meeting (last week Wednesday), this topic was discussed and the following was agreed: 1) If the maintenance team agrees, then we will provide minor updates (e.g. 4.9.x releases) through the normal update channel for the openSUSE releases. The repository from where these updates are delivered is the corresponding KDE:Release:xy repo. 2) If the maintenance team agrees to point 1, then the repository KDE:Distro:Stable no longer has a function nor reason to keept it. Therefore this repository will be deleted. 3) The remaining repositories (KRxy, KDF and KUSC) will be build against lesser openSUSE targets. This to reduce the load on OBS and also due to required changes it is sometimes impossible to keep a newer release building on an older release. The target is to support a maximum of 2 openSUSE releases (current and current-1). For KDF and KUSC this would mean to support Factory and the current release). This leads to the following: KDE:Release:46 Build for openSUSE 11.4 KDE:Release:47 Build for openSUSE 12.1 and openSUSE 11.4 KDE:Release:48 Build for openSUSE 12.2 and openSUSE 12.1 KDE:Releaes:49 Build for openSUSE 12.2 and openSUSE 12.1 KDE:Distro:Factory Build for Factory and openSUSE 12.2 KDE:Unstable:SC Build for Factory and openSUSE 12.2 This coming Tuesday the above schedule will be activated. At first we will disable the build for the "to-be dropped" targets and about 1 week later we will delete the targets from the above repositories. Currently builds in KDE:Release:49 and KDE:Distro:Factory have been disabled as that we are preparing for the upcoming KDE 4.9.2 release. [opensuse-kde] Start Dolphin when USB thumb drive is inserted

Hello all, Does anyone know how to configure KDE4 to start Dolphin when a USB thumb drive is inserted? I have been playing around with Settings->Device Actions and Settings->Removable Devices. So far, I have managed to automatically mount the thumb drive. What I would really like is to automatically launch Dolphin to the USB's mount point. I am using: openSUSE 12.1 KDE 4.9.1 "release 561" Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated! [opensuse-kde] Krita crash at startup fix

Hi, I have submitted a patch for OpenGTL that fixes the crash at krita startup. When OBS is up again can someone update (or add) the OpenGTL links in KR49 and KR48? Only openSUSE 12.2 is affected. This will provide a quick fix for some users till I do a maintenace update. [opensuse-kde] Cant connect bluetooth headset with KDE tools

Hi there, I use KDE 4.7.2 on openSUSE 12.1 x86_64 and want to connect my Jabra Halo headset. The headset is already known to the KDE bluetooth tool, it is listed there. But, when I click on the BT symbole the headset doe snot connect, instead I see an error in /var/log/messages: bluetoothd[1316]: Unable to get service record: Host is down (112) bluetoothd[1316]: Connection refused (111) How can I now connect the headset? [opensuse-kde] Wiki-page to track proposed improvements for the KDE experience within openSUSE

Dear all, As agreed during our last KDE Team meeting, I have created a page on the openSUSE wiki, where we can enter and track proposed improvements to the KDE experience for the upcoming openSUSE release. The workflow around this page, would be that everybody can enter an improvement and the new improvements are discussed during the regular team meetings. If an improvement is being accepted, then it should also get an owner assigned. The owner should then ensure that the improvement is being implemented. Non- approved improvements will be marked as such. [opensuse-kde] Could openSUSE ship a more up-to-date version of krusader ?

Hi, I'm not a daily user of openSUSE , but I happen to notice that openSUSE is shipping krusader-2.0.0 (released 3.5 years ago) in its official repo[1]. The latest release is 2.4.0-beta1 (released 1 year ago). I asked on IRC why that latest release was not shipped and it was suggested that "beta1" label might be the cause. The official website[2] says 2.0.0 is the stable version and 2.4.0-beta1 is the unstable version. However, most major distributions now ship 2.4.0-beta1 instead of the stable 2.0.0. Even Debian stable[1] ships 2.2.0-beta1 instead of the stable 2.0.0 . So in practice, 2.4.0-beta1 is considered to be stable enough to be shipped in place of the stable but outdated 2.0.0 . Could openSUSE consider shipping krusader 2.4.0-beta1 ? [opensuse-kde] gnucash in 12.2 won't work on KDE upgrade

I did an upgrade from 12.1 to 12.2 on my laptop using the installation DVD and doing an upgrade (not a clean install), and now I cannot get gnucash to work. I think this may be related to upgrading KDE to 4.9.1 after going to 12.2. The initial symptoms were that there was a particular banking library that it wanted to uninstall when I upgraded KDE to 4.9.1. The banking library is called aqbanking-5.0.25. It said that I had to uninstall gnucash or downgrade to aqbanking-5.0.23, or the other options. I decided to uninstall gnucash at first and finish the upgrade. Then when that was finished, I went to yast to reinstall gnucash. It allowed me to use aqbanking-5.0.23, and I installed it. But it won't run. So I went to zypper and uninstalled gnucash. Now when I go to try and reinstall gnucash on zypper, I get the following: [CODE] george@linux-o3ef:~/Documents> sudo zypper in gnucash Loading repository data... Reading installed packages...
