[opensuse-kde] Installing Opensuse over another distro

Hi all: I have decided to install opensuse over my current Linux distribution. I would like to maintain most my applications current setting but would like to have the full opensuse desktop. My problem is that I do not know what files to move aside or a better method to install opensuse and get up and running quickly. Can some one help with this problem? -- Yours, Ralph. [opensuse-kde] Kmail defaul shortcuts missing ?

I had a problem with double Copy (Ctrl-c). Clicked to use defaults, which erased all existing shortcuts. Hello, have any a workaround for the konqueror Problem in the 4.2.2 Version ? When I have a https connect after 2-4 sec. the connect are closed ? Hi, as decided in the last openSUSE KDE IRC meeting (http://en.opensuse.org/KDE/Meetings) I've started to move the unstable, not yet released applications from KDE:KDE4:UNSTABLE:Extra-Apps into KDE:KDE4:Playground. Whats the difference? - For those who just use the applications: There should be none except for the different repository name. Please update your sources list. - For those who want to contribute back: KDE:KDE4:Playground has the same user and access list like KDE:KDE4:Community, so it should be wide open for anyone interested to help out - It is configured like KDE:KDE4:Community, so only one source copy and build against various repositories - released versions are likely to end up in KDE:KDE4:Community, unstable/unreleased snapshots in KDE:KDE4:Playground. This should make your decision which repository to pick much easier. Whats the future? KDE:KDE4:Factory:Extra-Apps is going to be merged into KDE:KDE4:Playground as well. Hi, I've temporarily disabled UNSTABLE:Desktop from publishing for the regular weekly snapshot update (4.2.70). Will be reenabled in a day or so when it all finished building and is installable. Hi, Based on the announcement, the following packages have been moved from KDE:KDE4:Community to KDE:KDE4:Playground. - arora (svn builds. In Community the 0.6 version will be available) - kde4-basket - kde4-kblogger - kde4-kssh - kde4-kvpnc - kde4-mailody - kde4-smb4k (svn builds. Hi Martin, Packages that are maintained by me, will be moved to Playground if they are based on a SVN snapshot. If there is a released version available for it, then the released version will be found in Community. I guess that all other maintainers will perform the same activity, so in the next few days we should be able to see the correct split.
