Since I upgraded to SuSE 8.1 I can no longer mount a remote sambashare
on an winbox from my desktop.
The kdelinkfile looks like this:
[Desktop Entry]
Dev=//Godzilla/GODZILLADATA
Encoding=UTF-8
FSType=Default
Icon=windows_harddrive_mount
MountPoint=/windows/godzilla/data
ReadOnly=false
Type=FSDevice
UnmountIcon=windows_harddrive_unmount
The entry in the fstab-file looks like this:
//Godzilla/GODZILLADATA /windows/godzilla/data smbfs
noauto,user,netbiosname=godzilla,guest 0 0
Since I can mount the shares fine "by hand", I'm assuming the fstab-file
is OK.
When i click on the icon I get:
Could not mount device.
The reported error was:
SMB connection failed
No more info I'm afraid.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Many thanks in advance and Happy Newyear.
