Having been quite disgusted by the KDE4 version of KDEPIM, when my hard drive failed, and I replaced it, I did so with Evergreen, or openSuSe 11.1 with KDE3.5. So far mostly everything is working, but KDEPIM or Kontact is very slow to open with more than about 1,000 contact addresses in kaddressbook. Is this something that was addressed with the old kdepim from 3.5.10? All the old KDE3 bugs seem to have been removed from bugzilla so I can't find any reference there.
