[opensuse-kde3] Libreoffice open/save dialog kde3 style
Hello: I have installed libreoffice-kde3 package on my openSUSE 12.1/KDE3 system hoping that it sets LibreOffice open/save dialog to my KDE3 style. But the open/save window looks like this: http://i44.tinypic.com/121e6iw.jpg instead of what I expected (and have in oS 11.2): http://i39.tinypic.com/2vjofwz.jpg How could I have this style in oS 12.1? I have Libreoffice packages from openSUSE OSS repo and KDE3 packages from KDE3 build service repo. This has been broken in LibreOffice 3.4. Use LibreOffice 3.3 if you want this feature. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks Ilya. I could not find LibreOffice 3.3 packages for oS 12.1. Did you mean the original version of LibreOffice and not an oS one? Istvan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org

Only if you build from source. Their prebuilt packages have no KDE3 support at all. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org

This practically means that openSUSE 12.1 LibreOffice has no KDE support. It means that the information at the end of the following page is not correct, as it intends that KDE3 in libreoffice is supported in oS12.1: http://en.opensuse.org/KDE3 I guess for me building libreoffice from source is not an option, since I am not a programmer, and I don't have an idea how I could configure it for supporting KDE3. Istvan, You should be able to do it without any 'programming expertise' (I think it is just a matter of getting L.O. built with the option so that the kde3 dialog hooks are available and work. Basically it just requires googling the information about the build requirements and build order (which packages get built first and provide the deps for Package 2), there should be real good information out there on doing it. It's basically just like following a cookbook approach to whatever is needed and I think most all of that work is done regarding the .src.rpm files needed and build order. Good luck. Let us know if you run into any problems and I'll be happy to lend a hand. I think the 'plane-jane-gtk'file open dialog just sucks with no useable separate navigable file/folder tree view to navigate. We will also need to make sure that this is getting attention at apache.issues.org so it can be included with the Apache openoffice guys so that it is available for the 3.4 release with the hooks already enabled or as a quick add-on. <fingers/crossed> Let the list know what you come up with and I'll do the same the next time I run across anything similar. -- David C. David, Thanks for the encouragement, and apologize for the delayed response. Unfortunately I have only limited time I can devote to fixing/tweaking computer stuff. Therefore this issue is not top priority at the moment but if I can manage it later I will report.
