Hello:
I have installed libreoffice-kde3 package on my
openSUSE 12.1/KDE3 system hoping that it sets
LibreOffice open/save dialog to my KDE3 style.
But the open/save window looks like this:
http://i44.tinypic.com/121e6iw.jpg
instead of what I expected (and have in oS 11.2):
http://i39.tinypic.com/2vjofwz.jpg
How could I have this style in oS 12.1?
I have Libreoffice packages from openSUSE OSS repo
and KDE3 packages from KDE3 build service repo.
Thanks,
Istvan

Hello SuSE people.
Kind of a dumb question.Kmail 1.9.10
Where does one find the config to change the browser that
Kmail uses when one clicks on a URL: I really have looked!
several times!

knetworkmanager should now work with wi-fi. I have just connected my laptop to
wlan with knetworkmanager-kde3.

Geez Yamaban, Sorry you are in a grumpy ranty mood. But that is not the
problem. Hal IS installled. Just not behaving properlty. Doesn't come up
with the media notifier/menu.
Quite a while ago I complained of this problem and Ilya adviserd to stop and
restart hal service (I think it was) which I did and had no effect.
Don't be grumpy....Bad for tour health

Larry,
Never did. Honestly, I haven't checked in a while. I'm on my 11.4/kde3 laptop
right now - still no kpowersave battery icon in the tray. Clicking on kmenu ->
System -> Desktop -> kpowersave launches and restores the icon to systray. The
"battery meter" is working, but looks like it needs to configure itself again to
know the proper time left. I think that will happen automatically during the
first batter cycle.
I needed to configure kpowersave to start on login again. Configure
kpowersave -> General Settings -> Miscellaneous -> Autostart [X] KPowersave
starts automatically on login.
Looks like Ilya worked a bit more magic and got it working again. Great job
Ilya. I don't know if this is the old kpowersave or if this is upower with the
kpowersave interface on it -- can you fill us in Ilya? Regardless, it seems to
be working again.
HTH Larry.

Ilya,
I experienced a kwrite crash earlier tonight. I have multiple instances of
kwrite open. After the crash - the remaining instances of kwrite continued to
operate fine. This is the first one I've seen, so I grabbed the kcrash dump:

Ilya, all,
I have a sound issue with play. When I attempt to play a sound file from the
command line in konqueror I get:
> play Startup1_4.ogg
play: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libpulsecommon-0.9.22.so: undefined
symbol: STRING
Is anyone else seeing this? I know this just started within the last few
weeks, because I was using play not too long ago. Is this a new libpulse0 bug?

Ilya, all
Two upcoming issues. libpng15 and audiofile 3.3.
(1) Have you thought about whether to create a static libpng14 package to live
along side libpng15 or whether to recompile based on libpng15?
(2) Audiofile update from 3.2 -> 3.3 currently breaks sound in kde3 (Arch
trinity 3.5.12) and breaks basket notepads (probably more). That is another gift
coming down the pipe. I haven't found a solution other than staying with
audiofile 3.2 for the moment.
Thanks for your help. kde3 continues to work great!

even though i have switched to thunderbird, i really miss my kmail. so i tried
it again and it worked fine for a couple of hours . then the duplicates
nonsense started again, but this time i got an error message:
"Your POP3 server (Account: kanenas) does not support the UIDL command: this
command is required to determine, in a reliable way, which of the mails on
the server KMail has already seen before;
the feature to leave the mails on the server will therefore not work
properly.'
does this mean anything to anyone?
