[heroes] reboot_safe flag in salt
Hello, as discussed in the last meeting, all pillar/id/* files in our salt repo now have a "reboot_safe" flag/grain to indicate if a machine will "survive" a reboot. Valid values are "yes", "no" and "unknown". To get started, I added reboot_safe: unknown to all pillar/id/ files (and already changed it to yes for "my" machines). Needless to say that we should get rid of the "unknown" state, so *** please update the pillar/id/ files of "your" machines *** A "yes" would be perfect ;-) but if you know that your machine needs some manual work after a reboot you'll obviously have to set it to "no". In this case, a comment with more details and the needed steps after a reboot would be welcome. Setting reboot_safe: yes also means that other heroes might install kernel updates and reboot your machines, so the time to update the reboot_safe flag is well spent ;-) Regards, Christian Boltz -- <Talkless> jjohansen: are "trusted helpers" that I was informed recently, related with this delegation? <jjohansen> Talkless: no and yes :) <Talkless> quantum answer. nice. :) [from #apparmor] -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: heroes+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: heroes+owner@opensuse.org
