[heroes] download.o.o - upgraded to maxmind geoip2
Maxmind discontinued their GeoIP1 databases per January 2, since then we have been using the most recent copy, dated Dec 31. I have now updated apache and mirrorbrain to use the new GeoIP2 databases which seems to be working fine. Mirrorbrain itself is actually hardcoded to use GeoIP1 but I managed to bend the config into shape. If you come across any issues, let me know. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (27.1°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: heroes+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: heroes+owner@opensuse.org

I certainly hope not, but if people are getting directed to the wrong mirrors, it's possible. Hmm, looking now, it does look odd - I get "no mirrors" for stuff that is clearly mirrored. I'll check. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (19.9°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: heroes+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: heroes+owner@opensuse.org

Uh, right now, we don't have a database, that would mean everything is being served directly from download.o.o. Last night I don't see any problems though. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (20.1°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: heroes+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: heroes+owner@opensuse.org

This really needs to go on to pontifex in provo too. What do I do, open a ticket? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (24.8°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: heroes+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: heroes+owner@opensuse.org

No, luckily we have direct access to provo-mirror :-) I just gave you access and will send you a mail with the details off-list.
