No, that is not a key issue at all, as long as you provide simple and user-friendly guidelines for contributing in general, and to github in particular. I repeat, there is no future for technical and critical information on "user-friendly" CMS. CMS cannot solve the "when a drop of outdated, factually incorrect, or recommended against information is mixed to bucket of information, no matter how good, all the information in the bucket becomes unreliable" issue. The only way to properly ground the chain of trust in facts and best-practices is by having maintainers and reviewers work hand-in-hand and jointly educate the next generation of maintainers and reviewers, and so on and so forth.
