[opensuse-haskell] Submitting to Backports project
Hi, I would like to get the Haskell packages submitted to the openSUSE:Backports:SLE12 project. https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Backports The idea of Backports is to collect useful packages built for SLES12 into a common repository that can be recommended by SUSE to SLES users. The key policies are acceptance in Factory and no replacement or interference with standard SLES packages, both of which the Haskell packages meet nicely. To start the process, I will enable build on the Backports:SLE-12 repository. I will add a new build target in parallel to the current SLE_12 target and see how things build. Everything should build the same as on SLE_12 - if not, I will arrange to things fixed on the Backports side. Once things are building, we could make the Backports target the default SLE_12 target for d.l.haskell. I will create the SRs into the Backports project once things are worked out on the devel project. After that, SR's can, if we wish, be done in parallel to Factory and Backports. Any questions, concerns? -Scott -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-haskell+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-haskell+owner@opensuse.org
+1, for submission to Backports
If builds with openSUSE:Backports:SLE-12 works without problem, i
won't see any obstacles to change default target.
Plus we need slowly prepare to SLE12SP1

Hello ,
first problem for Backports , some packages (pandoc etc )have
Buildrequires to chrpath , which isn't in SLE-12
This is dependency of macro %ghc_fix_dynamic_rpatch
Kind Regards

Actually it's in the SLE-12 repository, but for some reason we had an unresolved error. Maybe because there is a chrpath package in d.l.haskell but the build was disabled? I'm checking with the build service team on this. -Scott
