Since the begining of this year, I am writing a new KDE2 application for
using and configurating the PTC-II ( www.scs-ptc.com
). The development is
not completed yet, but I think it is already a useable software.
I would be pleased, if someone take a look and drop me a note about his first
impression. Criticism and hints are important for further development.
The current version is Kptc - 0.1.
There is no RPM yet, but installing from source should not cause any trouble.
Download it here:
Install it as usual :
# tar xfvz kptc-0.1
# cd kptc-0.1
# make install
Additionally, you need QT 2.2 or newer and the KDE2 libs.
By the way: There is still a lot to do. To bring this work on faster, I can
need somekind of help. If you are interested and like to support this
project, please join me. Depending on your interests and skills you can
introduce yourself in one of the following open tasks:
- testing and reporting bugs / wishes
- writing a user manual ( html )
- developing a project home page ( html )
- drawing icons and logos
- developing new features, several things are outstanding ( KDE, C++ )
