Merging Moblin / Factory... Status
The big push started on Friday, with thanks to Michael for planning and Vincent for doing the initial import from the IBS to the OBS. As it stands now, 93 packages have been linked to openSUSE 11.2 with 76 packages needing some form of intervention before they can be sent upwards for inclusion into the distro; there are also 61 packages not in distro yet. I was going to attack the new packages first, but I have noticed one of the errors of my ways - I didn't keep a close eye on Federico's hard work[0]. I am going to go through this now before I do anything else and tidy my little mess up - sorry. I will update the wiki and also ensure that patches/modifications mentioned in [1] are also sr'ed up the tree. As for submitting them upstream, is there a process for that or is it just open a bug report in the respective bugzilla? Once that is done I will start to look at getting the 61 new packages submitted to GNOME:Apps, from where they will go into Factory. I will need to ensure that the spec files meet Vincent's high levels of quality or I'm sure he will not hesitate to deny their acceptance. I have set up a Gobby (0.4) instance should anyone wish to join in the fun (I'm sure you all do, just don't have the time ;-) ) So just to re-iterate what the immediate action items are: 1. ensure all patches/changes in [1] are sr'ed up, and upstreamed where necessary. 2. ensure that the Pending Packages list in [0] is updated. 3. look at new packages to sr up. If anyone see any errors in my thinking please let me know.
