Hello,
Some news about what's going on the GNOME land of openSUSE
Repositories: GNOME:Contrib / GNOME:Apps ======================================== We've enabled G:C and G:A to build against GNOME:Factory (G:F). This means that those of us using G:F can now use those two repositories without getting conflicts.
The new repositories will be available via [1] and [2] respectively.
Repositories: GNOME:Factory =========================== G:F now contains the latest and the greatest GNOME 2.29.6. Please test and report any issues found. Repo is available at [3].
Repositories: GNOME:STABLE:2.28 =============================== G:S:28 contains all the latest updates from upstream (2.28.2). Most of these have also been pushed as an online update at [4]. They are due to be released on Monday the 1st of February and will be found at [5].
Packages: NetworkManager ======================== A new version of NetworkManager landed in G:F. This version will not be pulled in with a 'zypper dup' however, so if you want it, you need to explicitly tell it to update. We've fixed up gnome-main-menu to build against this new version and there is a pending update for tsclient as well. If there is any other breakage with this version, please let us know.
Packages: accountsdialog ======================== The AccountsDialog [6] is a friendly interface to editing user information and related data, such as login options. We've packaged them for 11.2 and G:F and it can be found at [7] if you want to try it out. Note; We do not (yet?) carry any patches for GDM to enable all features of this application. We're not sure if these packages should go to G:F or G:C. Please discuss on this list where they should end up.
If I missed any news, please let us know.
Cheers, Magnus

I thought a bit about this. The thing is that, in theory, this shouldn't be needed: stuff in G:A or G:C should just build fine without having to build against G:F.
I know that there a few cases where it fails, but I would think that it doesn't happen that often, and I'm unsure it's worth the overhead we generate in the build service.

Hi Magnus thanks for this status report!
If I missed any news, please let us know.
I recently packaged gnome-color-manager, shared-color-profiles (it's already on X11:common), tracker and libgee.
