[opensuse-gnome] GNOME Activity Journal
When I run gnome-activity-journal I see no events. Possibly this is because if I go to preferences / plugins I see nothing listed? Should I see plugins? Are they required? If so, where to they come from? /usr/bin/zeitgeist-daemon is running. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

To add some more information, for me g-a-j v0.5.0 seems to work as expected with any version of zeitgeist < 0.8; g-a-j v0.6.0 is empty. Here is my post from a couple of weeks ago... ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Michael Hill <mdhillca@gmail.com> Date: Tue, May 10, 2011 at 12:04 PM Subject: Zeitgeist again To: opensuse-gnome <opensuse-gnome@opensuse.org> Is anyone running GNOME Activity Journal > v0.5.0? I have installed g-a-j (0.6.0) and zeitgeist from GNOME:Factory and their dependencies are satisfied when I install zeitgeist-datahub from home:federico-mena:zeitgeist. With zeitgeist-daemon running, g-a-j is recognized as an extension, but nothing displays in g-a-j. (g-a-j 0.5.0 seemed to work correctly even with zeitgeist upgrades.) Am I still missing a component? I pulled the src packages from Factory and built GAJ, zeitgest, datahub, & daemon (and installed raptor, which was required). <http://download.opensuse.org/source/factory/repo/oss/suse/src/> zeitgeist-0.7.1-2.1.noarch libzeitgeist-1_0-1-0.3.10-1.2.x86_64 zeitgeist-datahub-0.6.0-2.1.x86_64 libzeitgeist-devel-0.3.10-1.2.x86_64 gnome-activity-journal-0.6.0-1.1.noarch GAJ runs but nothing appears. Oh well. I'm demonstrating openSUSE/GNOME3 to a local technical group tonight ant thought it would be nice if I could show GAJ as well. Done - still nothing. Yes. Every time I changed the packages.

Yes, I get the same thing. I understand this part works perfectly in 0.6.0, you just can't see any activities to try it. (Just kidding.) Mike -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

The package provided in openSUSE 12.1 seems to be working pretty well. A lot of events it doesn't seem to pick-up [it appears to see almost exclusively recently-used files], but it is running without any issues. gnome-activity-journal-0.8.0-2.1.2.noarch zeitgeist-0.8.2-2.1.3.noarch zeitgeist-datahub-0.7.0-2.1.2.x86_64 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+owner@opensuse.org
By some bizarre coincidence, today on planet.gnome.org I found Stefano Candori's January 23rd announcement, "Gnome Activity Journal 0.6.0 released!" with yesterday's date (along with a number of 2005 blog posts).
