Which ones? :-) I'm seeing two kind of print notifications here. One from GNOME, and one which I think is from system-config-printer-applet. I guess this package should be removed. (not sure if it's installed by default, or if it's a leftover from an upgrade here)
$ sudo rpm -e system-config-printer-applet
This seems to have stopped the notifications. And the Printers under the GNOME settings tools still appears and is functional.
