Hi list,
Wonder if are there any hopes to have back the QT Yast GUI working in current and next openSUSE releases, as it was before.
In my humble opinion the actual Yast GUI (which if I'm not wrong is gtk based) looks uglier in comparison to QT version.
what makes you think than "yast2 --qt" do not work (if installed)?
works for me

Your command starts the ncurses version of Yast interface.
Look the error I get by setting Yast WANTED_GUI:
Hope now it being more clear!
Cheers,
Ok I resolved now it was missing a the following qt lib: zypper in yast2-qt-pkg Lettura dei dati del repository in corso... Lettura dei pacchetti installati in corso... 'yast2-qt-pkg' non è stato trovato nei nomi dei pacchetti. Si prova per capacità. Risoluzione delle dipendenze dei pacchetti in corso… Il seguente NUOVO pacchetto verrà installato: _libyui-qt-pkg5_ Now WANTED_GUI=qt is working as it was supposed! Strange that I never received dependencies warning when installed yast2-qt pkg. End of transmission...
