Today's regularly scheduled openSUSE-GNOME meeting is cancelled, due to most people being in transit to FOSDEM. [opensuse-gnome] Introduction

Hi people, Since I'm joining the openSUSE GNOME team, I figured it might be nice to introduce myself to everybody here :-) I'm an active upstream GNOME developer, maintaining modules like gnome-{desktop,menus,panel,session} and libwnck. I'm also involved in many other areas of GNOME (release management, Foundation, etc.). http://live.gnome.org/VincentUntz should contain a bit more details, even if it's probably a bit outdated. I've made some small changes to the "meta prjconf" for G:C to resolve some of the choice-caused expansion errors on the openSUSE_10.X +GNOME_[UN]STABLE target repos. The changes are wrapped in %_repository checks and basically affect avahi, esd and gnome-filesystem choices. Just wanted to give you all a heads-up: A while ago, HPJ packaged Accerciser for 11.0 and we tested the install. It installed beautifully. Problem was... We basically said "Okay, now what do we do with this thingamabob?" Linux Journal magazine has published two great articles in their most recent edition on Orca and Accerciser. (A pleasant surprise for me while sitting down to read the magazine at breakfast this morning.) The Accerciser article provided some great insight about how to use it from a developer's standpoint. I encourage you all to read this article and try to use it in your everyday development of GNOME goodies. To read it online, you'll have to register.
