[New: openFATE 314932] YAST Samba Server module to replace SWAT
Feature added by: Richard Colvin (allianux) Feature #314932, revision 1 Title: YAST Samba Server module to replace SWAT openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Richard Colvin (allianux) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Considering SWAT is not maintained to the level it should. Could the YAST Samba module be improved to be a full replacement of the Samba webpage management SWAT interface? When doing so it would be prudent to consider quick set up options for the Home networker (Workgroup with NAS and folder shares) and the more complex setup for the Enterprise sector (Domain Controller options) etc. At the moment I'm not sure what the YAST SAMBA Server module is intended to be? We seem to need to edit the /etc/samba/smb.conf file directly. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/314932

Focus is on working initial setup of a Samba server.
