[New: openFATE 323431] Allow web browsing during installation
Feature added by: Paul Dufresne (dufrp) Feature #323431, revision 1 Title: Allow web browsing during installation openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Paul Dufresne (dufrp) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: The installer should have a tab or a window where someone could browse the web during installation of packages. Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: Installation, particularly net installation can be boring because there is not much to do. After an hour watching packages installing, or even before for some, one would wish to do something else, butthere is nothing else than watching packages being installed that is available. I believe being able to browse the web during installation would make the life of many people more pleasant. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/323431

You would have to have + full window manager (now yast installer steals the focus) and then you + would have to keep the browser on the media and respin the media + everytime there is security issue (because otherwise user uses the + browser with all exploits that were fixed since the release...)
